Network Marketing Tip
I often get asked for network marketing tips and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others to help them get started in the industry. Sometimes I think information overload can be a problem for new people who might not have encountered network marketing / MLM before as very often after sharing some advice I get asked the follow up question 'If you could give me just one Network Marketing Tip to help me to succeed, what would it be?'
That's a difficult question to answer. Is it possible to boil down all the important aspects of the business into just one tip? I don't know. There are lots of ingredients in the formula for success so how can I rank one above the others in its order of importance? Surely we need to get the balance right with a number of factors in order to be successful?
I quite often think of answering that 'Consistency' is key and there is no doubt that this is a really important factor but if a person consistently did all the wrong things and concentrated their efforts of non income-producing tasks then how would that make them successful? So maybe the answer should be 'consistently do the right things', but that would only beg the next obvious question 'what are the right things to do?'
There are many other network marketing tips that could be seen as vital for success so perhaps some of these should challenge Consistency for top billing.
How about going right back to the start and making sure you choose the right company to be involved with. That must be a contender because you must need to be partnered with a company whose products you believe in and that feels like a good fit for you whilst at the same time being stable and reputable.
What about making sure you use a proven, duplicatable system? That's a really important aspect as the system you use must be good enough to work to produce a profitable business for you and it must be simple enough and straightforward to understand so that you can teach it to those that you recruit and they can teach to others, and so on. If you don't get the duplicatable system right you will struggle to be successful.
I think it is clear that we're not looking for that silver bullet of one task to call our top network marketing tip. Instead, the answers we have generated so far have been a bit more general but, nevertheless, useful. I'm sure we could easily brainstorm some ideas and come up with a list of individual tasks that are all
important factors for success in network marketing but again is any one individual task more important than all the others?
I think there is a danger in answering the question, 'What is your number one network marketing tip?' that if you give just one specific task in answer to your latest recruit that they go away and concentrate all their efforts on only one thing to the detriment of everything else, find that doing one thing alone doesn't work, blame you for their lack of success and quit.
That brings me ultimately to what in my view is the answer to this question, and my number 1 Network Marketing Tip - Find a Great Mentor.
If a person finds a great mentor then the mentor will provide guidance on how to be successful. The mentor will drip feed all the tips they need at the right speed and the right time for the individual. The mentor will have a proven system to follow and will give the encouragement and backup to make sure their new team member succeeds. Of course a mentor can't be expected to do everything for a person, and the new team member must ultimately take responsibility for their own success or failure, but by selecting a good mentor to work alongside, learn from and emulate, the chances of succeeding in network marketing are greatly increased. That's why I think this network marketing tip stands out over all the others.
