The Problem With Network Marketing / MLM

I have been involved with Network Marketing companies for the last six years and have learned a massive amount in this time.

In this section I will be sharing the knowledge I have gained in the Network Marketing / MLM industry and showing you what works, what doesn't, what to look for in an MLM company and what to avoid as well as sharing with you the most effective ways to grow your business to get what everyone enters this industry for - income, and not just any old income, passive, residual income that grows month on month and affords you the lifestyle you can only dream about right now!

In order to create this residual income which we all crave, any Network Marketer or MLMer needs to do three things -

1. Get their business into profit quickly

2. Start building a team

3. Show their team how to duplicate steps 1 and 2.

In some ways it really is that simple and yet we all know people who can tell us horror stories of how bad an experience they or someone they know had in MLM. You might even be reading this and have a bad experience yourself, yet you are still attracted to the concept of Network Marketing and want to know how to do things differently to get some real success this time. Well you've come to the right place.

First of all, if you've not managed to succeed in Network Marketing / MLM before here's something you might not have heard before - IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!

That's right, despite what your upline may have told you, you don't just need to work harder, or longer or give it more time. I've heard all of these statements too and thought that the problem must be me. Well here's some news - the problem might actually be THEM. Yes, maybe the reason why things didn't work out for you was because your upline was teaching you to duplicate a system that was totally OUT OF DATE. Certain things may have worked in the past. They might even have worked for your upline when they built their team and started to make a profit but things are moving so quickly now that the old fashioned ideas of network marketing are precisely that - OLD FASHIONED!

I bet when the going's been tough your upline has told you to 'talk to more people', 'do more activity', 'give out 100 more business cards a day'. And you've probably followed their advice - I know I did. But did it work? Did it result in you finding more team members? Possibly, possibly not. Could you keep up with the attrition rate of those dropping out? I would guess not.

There's a major flaw in that way of thinking - you can only personally talk to or leave a business card with a certain number of people every day. If you want to reach out to more people the old fashioned way, you could place a costly newspaper ad and hope that someone reads it and is inspired enough to contact you for more information and eventually join you. In the early days when cashflow is tight this might not even be an option so you are left struggling and working yourself into the ground for hours every day that at best will provide a few extra leads for you.

So, let's talk about the QUALITY of those leads. What are the chances that any of those you find were actually looking to start a home business? How many of them were really just looking for a little second job to bring in a bit of extra income? There's a huge difference between those two types of people and that will make a huge difference to your business.

If you get the 'job seekers' they won't last long unless they are seeing instant profits. Some of them will get into the team building but many of them won't. Even the ones that do might not have a huge desire for that part of the business let alone the skills to make it work.

Let's say by some fluke you managed to find someone the old fashioned way who just happened to be looking for a home based business and who also wanted to build a team AND had the skills to do it. You think you've hit the jackpot! WRONG! The key with network marketing / mlm is duplication. Teach your team duplication they tell you. So what is your new-found next superstar going to do? That's right, duplicate what you're doing! So you think you can sit back and watch them build a team? Mmm....not going to happen. Why? Because they'll face the same problems you did using the same old fashioned methods. They might be lucky to find the odd person who seems good, just like you did, but how long will they last before the lack of success and riches evaporates their initial enthusiasm and you're right back where you started? Not very long I would imagine - maybe a month or two maximum. So you are back to square one again and are grafting really hard for not much reward and not much of a team.

Where's all the residual income you were promised?



So that's the problem with how things are still being done by so many people in this business. Does that mean that MLM is dead? NO WAY! You just need to know how to do things a bit smarter, with less hard labour and to reach the right audience.

The world is a much smaller place these days thanks to technology and it is now possible to find like- minded people at the click of a button. I'm going to show you the right way to leverage this technology to find not only the people who are interested in buying your products which will help your cashflow, but to find people who are interested in your business concept and who are serious about building a large team of like minded people. Would this make a difference to your business? You bet it would!
